Mile-post Achieved
February 19, 2012
A milepost (literally and figuratively) has been achieved!
As of this evening, the Blanketometer reached 2,347 blankets. Why does 2,347 constitute a milepost? Because (assuming the average blanket is a yard and a half long), we have now produced TWO MILES OF BLANKETS to benefit the patients of Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland! We stood at 2,346 going into the President’s Day weekend, so Jon and Anita Tonsing decided this evening to make a blanket together after dinner and put us over the finish line. (For you math majors, 2,347 x 4.5 feet = 10,561.5 feet of blankets.)
Thank you to everyone that has helped us reach this accomplishment.
