Subject: Thanks!
Jack was at Oakland Children’s today for a full-spine MRI. Because he’s got cerebral palsy, he had to be sedated for the procedure. Jack’s been through many painful surgeries, and was apprehensive about what it meant to be sedated today; not sure he wouldn’t wake up in pain afterward.
The nurses gave him one of your blankets when he awoke, and he loves it! He doesn’t usually use a blanket when in his chair, but this afternoon and evening, he has kept this one on his lap. When it starts to fall, he makes sure I get it back in place.
Trevor’s story is touching. Thank you for sharing it with us, and for your thoughtful gift. I’ve never seen Jack respond so happily after a hard day at the hospital. We appreciate the love that goes into this project.
Sincerely,
Lou and Jack Vaile

Lukas, 17 months, is recovering from his second heart procedure. He has downs syndrome and was born with a congenital heart defect.
“I am so grateful for this blanket, it gives me a lot of comfort and makes me feel like we’re not alone in this. It brought me to tears hearing Trevor’s story. What a gift you are passing along by continuing Trevor’s vision.” — Kinney, Lukas’ mom

Hope is 1 month old and is going home today after heart surgery to correct a heart defect. She’ll come back for a second procedure down the road.
“This blanket is a very special gift to remember this experience here. This is something that will be with Hope for the rest of her life.” – Tiffany, Hope’s mom
“We thank God for the family who made this blanket. We pray that they may be truly blessed in sharing this precious gift with us.” – Aaron, Hope’s dad.
